After reading "The Prophecy" I could not deny the pleasure of reaching for another book Dean Koontz. This time it was issued by the publisher Prószyński i S-ka, "Face." As before - do not be disappointed. This book is a thriller. It contains fantasy elements, which sometimes creates a mood of horror. Frequent changes of shares, threads, build tension. Because what we love most in thrillers? It's that moment when the tension grows and slowly reaches its zenith, and we look forward to an important event, abruptly ends the chapter and move on to another thread;)
In reading we have the opportunity to look at the life of the great film star Channing Manheim , also known as a face. Involved in a former security chief investigator Ethan Truman is designed to solve the riddle of the black boxes with unique content, which for some time are provided by the supplier to the mysterious house Manheim. A few days before Christmas Eve, a huge palace star gets the last consignment - an apple stuck in the middle of the eye. It was only attached to this gift is the message. However, its content is as enigmatic, as on first glance are not related to each other presents.
Despite appearances, the main role in the novel itself does not play Manheim. It appears few times. The action and revolves around Ethan, his past, and around ten Fric, the son of a great actor.

I think it gives us to understand sometimes how little people know about their children and that they themselves are guilty of this because they can not take care of them properly.
Ethan awakens in History reader empathy. We learn that she died several years earlier of his beloved, a friend of many years, Dunny is in a coma. On the pages of a book Dunny dies, but in reality it is still present in the life of Ethan in a somewhat alien form.
conclusion, the book is really commendable because it shows life from a different perspective than that with which we deal every day.
